Cancellation, Refunds, and Transfer
Executive course participants may cancel their participation in a course at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If cancellation notice is received 30 or more days before the first day of the course, the participant may receive a full refund, minus a $500 cancellation fee per course. If cancellation notice is received 30 or fewer days before the course begins, the participant may receive a 50% refund, minus a $500 cancellation fee per course, or may transfer the fees paid to another executive course or courses occurring within the same summer term, with the same total units (see Transfer section below). Participants who cancel on or after the first day of the quarter in which the course occurs begins will not receive any refund or fee transfer.
Cancellation requests must be submitted by email to email@example.com. Refunds will not be given if cancellation request is received later than the day before the course begins, unless an exception is requested and approved (see Exceptions section below).
Transfer: Executive course participants may change their course enrollment between courses of the same unit total that occur in the same summer term up to the day prior to the first day of the first course, space permitting in the course(s) in which they are transferring. Participants who wish to change their course enrollment should notify firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Fees paid for executive courses are never transferable to degree program fees.
Berkeley Law Executive Education may make exceptions to the refund deadline based on medical issues, death in the family, call to military service, or other extenuating circumstances. Proof will be required to consider any exceptions to the refund deadline. The decision on any request for exception is final, and Berkeley Law Executive Education reserves the right to approve or deny requests for exception to our cancellation, refund, and transfer policies. Requests for exception should be submitted by email to email@example.com. Any refunds granted as an exception to the above policies will be subject to the $100 cancellation fee.
