The Journey to Converting to a Public Benefit Corporation

In January 2021, Veeva Systems, with the support of 99% of its voting shareholders, became the first public company to convert to a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC). In January 2022, Amelia MiazadAdam Sterling, and Dickson Louie published Veeva Systems: The Journey to Converting to a Public Benefit Corporation, a business school-style case study that goes behind the scenes of the PBC conversion. The case study is sponsored by Berkeley Law Executive Education, which uses it in two courses: Sustainable Capitalism & ESG Online and ESG: Navigating the Board’s Role.

Berkeley Law Executive Education is proud to make Veeva Systems: The Journey to Converting to a Public Benefit Corporation, and an accompanying case study video, available here for download and instructional use.
