Conversations on Civil Justice: Legal Issues After a Disaster
January 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Why is litigation an important part of providing civil justice following natural disasters? How does litigation help to deliver relief for those affected? What can we expect in future and currently pending disaster related litigation? Please join us for a discussion of some of the legal issues that arise for homeowners and others with injuries following a disaster with leading fire litigation attorney Gerald Singleton of Singleton Schreiber and Michal Meiler of Ver Ploeg & Marino, who represented consumers in disputes with their insurance companies following hurricanes in Florida.
The Conversations on Civil Justice Series is supported by a gift from the AAJ’s Robert L. Habush Endowment. Offered in collaboration with the UC Berkeley Center for Law, Energy & the Environment.
