14th Annual BCLT Privacy Lecture: Policing Families

July 1, 2022

Dorothy Roberts is the George A. Weiss University Professor of Law and Sociology and the Raymond Pace and Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander Professor of Civil Rights at the University of Pennsylvania. Her pathbreaking work in law and public policy focuses on social justice issues related to reproductive freedom, child welfare, and biopolitics.
In her 2021 BCLT Privacy Lecture, Prof. Roberts will explore themes from her forthcoming book on family policing. As predictive technologies are integrated into the child protection services and foster care systems, her analysis of the nature and impact of government surveillance on families will be especially timely.
Speakers
Prof. Khiara M. Bridges, UC Berkeley Law School
Prof. Scott Skinner-Thompson, University of Colorado
