Finance Week is a celebration of financial capacity-building, ideas, and networking for attorneys, business people, and investors, among others. Comprised of three distinct, yet interrelated, programs, Finance Week addresses a range of topics facing the financial, legal, and business communities.
Participants can attend one, two, or all three programs back to back. Programs take place on the UC Berkeley campus or in San Francisco.
Finance Week consists of:
Finance Academy (October 26-28, 2018)
A three-day certificate academy focused on the nuts and bolts of financial information analysis and corporate valuation for practicing attorneys, taught via interactive lectures, exercises, case studies, and other real-world applications.
The program fee is $6,000 per person ($5,000 for UC Berkeley alumni) and covers all tuition, course materials, and meals during the event. Travel and accommodation are not included. Program fee also includes complimentary access to the Fundamentals of Banking Law Academy and FinTech Legal Workshop. Government, nonprofit, and university employees may request a reduced rate.
Fundamentals of Banking Law (October 29-31, 2018)
A three-day academy designed to familiarize participants with the key policies, concepts and regulations surrounding banking regulation.
The program fee is $1,900 ($1,700 for UC Berkeley alumni) and covers all tuition, course materials, and meals during the event. Travel and accommodation are not included. An early-bird discount of $1,700 ($1,500 for UC Berkeley alumni) is available for all accepted applicants who register by August 15, 2018. Program fee also includes complimentary access to the FinTech Legal Workshop. The Fundamentals of Banking Law and FinTech Legal programs are offered at no additional fee to participants of the Berkeley Law Finance Academy. Government, nonprofit, and university employees may request a reduced rate.
FinTech Legal Workshop (October 31, 2018)
A half-day workshop designed to provide FinTech entrepreneurs, investors, attorneys, and other professionals with a general introduction to the unique and sometimes counter-intuitive way that finance innovation is regulated in the United States.
The program fee is $550 ($450 for UC Berkeley alumni). Travel and accommodation are not included. The FinTech Legal Workshop is offered at no additional fee to participants of the Fundamentals of Banking Law and/or Berkeley Law Finance Academy.
